Seeing as it’s International Dog Day… here’s a wee Seeing as it’s International Dog Day… here’s a wee midweek treat from the fur family 🐾❤️ A little glimpse what we’ve been up to so far. August has been an absolute blast — I managed to squeeze in a holiday with the niece and nephew and, somehow, I think I’ve made it to 23 Festival shows 😂 Safe to say I’ve made the most of it! I’ve also had a bit more time than usual to tinker about on my phone, discover Reels and generally get a little carried away with the socials 🤣 But it’s probably time to behave… we’ve got a new boarder arriving for the long weekend, and he’s actually another dog walker’s dog, so no pressure there then 😅🐶 I think I’ll be a little more preoccupied with four paws than my phone for the next few days 🤩🥰 And today’s song choice simply had to be Dolly 🤍 An incredible lady with a huge heart, who gave so much back to others — including animals. 9 years of fur the love of paws ❤️🙏🥳 Tomorrow mark 9 years of fur the love of paws ❤️🙏🥳 Tomorrow marks nine years in business, and honestly, I’m not quite sure where those years have gone. When I started Fur The Love of Paws back in 2017, I had no idea where the journey would take me. What I did know was that my own dog, Harry, gave me the confidence and courage to take a leap of faith and build a business doing something I genuinely love. Over the last nine years, I’ve had the privilege of caring for so many wonderful dogs, and each one has become part of the Fur The Love of Paws family. Like any small business, it hasn’t always been plain sailing. We’ve navigated Brexit, COVID, a cost-of-living crisis, rising costs and all the challenges that come with running a business. There have been plenty of ups and downs along the way, but one thing I’ve learned is that running a small business takes resilience, determination and showing up every single day, no matter what. The happiest moments have always been with my fur family. That’s why I do this job. Not for social media, not for the admin and definitely not for all the driving! 🤣 Watching puppies grow up, seeing nervous dogs gain confidence, celebrating milestones and building relationships with both the dogs and their humans over the years has been the most rewarding part of the journey. The hardest part? Saying goodbye. Whether it’s a dog moving away from the area or having to say a final goodbye when a much-loved member of the fur family crosses the Rainbow Bridge, it never gets easier. They become such a big part of my daily life, and they are always deeply missed. Looking through these photos — just a small selection of my favourites because reels don’t allow a million pictures! — reminds me how lucky I am to do what I do. Every single dog has helped make Fur The Love of Paws what it is today. And it’s not only the dogs I’m grateful for. I’ve been incredibly lucky to meet so many kind and supportive owners over the years. To every client who has trusted me with their dog, recommended my business, shared a post, left a review or supported me in any way over the last nine years — thank you x

☀️ After a wee holiday to sunny Spain for a friend ☀️ After a wee holiday to sunny Spain for a friend’s 50th birthday – which of course happened to coincide with the heatwave back home in Edinburgh… typical! 😂☀️ Here’s a little glimpse of what we’ve been up to recently at Fur the Love of Paws. 🐾 As well as our regular walks and daycare adventures, we’ve also had the pleasure of welcoming some lovely boarding guests for their holidays. ❤️ Not all of our furry visitors are featured here, as some owners prefer not to have their dogs’ photos shared online, but they’ve all been enjoying plenty of love, cuddles, walks, playtime and home comforts while their families are away. Thank you, as always, for trusting fur the love of paws with your precious fur family members. ❤️ As lovely as holidays are, I’m definitely ready to get back to work tomorrow.
