Jo has been walking our dog for a couple of months now and we are blown away by the service she provides! The process to have our dog join Jo’s group was thorough and informative to make sure she was the right fit, which we really appreciated as our dog is quite timid. Despite only walking with Jo for a couple of months so far, our dog’s confidence has clearly grown on these group walks and has allowed her to make some good doggy friends, something she has struggled with as a nervous dog for years. We believe this wouldn’t be possible without Jo’s care and passion for what she does.

Jo is an amazing dog walker. She really thinks through the walks for her dogs, ensures they have a fun time and are well matched with other dogs on the walks. Roo loves them! Jo sends through pics and videos of each walk so you feel like you know how it has gone which is really nice.  Jo is also very organised and prompt communicator which makes sorting the logistics much easier.  Cannot recommend highly enough.

Jo has been our dog Walker for 16 months now and we are lucky to have someone who cares for our dog so much and makes us feel safe in the knowledge that he’s well looked after on his walks. When the doorbell rings Toby knows it’s walk time and when he comes home he’s tired and chilled – exactly what we need! Jo has been walking my dog Rupert since April when we moved to the area and I could not recommend her more highly she is absolutely amazing. When Rupert first joined Jo took the time to get to know Rupert making sure he was suitable for the group and learning about his individual personality. Since moving to Edinburgh Jo has been a real star and lucky find.  We tried our dog with another company but it was clear they were only interested in adding more dogs to their books opposed to ensuring each dog had a safe and enjoyable experience.  Jo took her time to get to know our dog and how he would fit in with her existing pack.  Its literally his favourite time of the week when she calls to collect him.  Couldn’t recommend Jo more as someone who will love and cherish your pet as much as you do.

Jo has walked our dog for the past 6 months and we are so lucky to have found her. Having used several dog walkers in the last few years I can confidently say that Jo at FUR the love of paws is the best. I think the highest compliment I can pay is that my dog Arlo now waits in the hall on his walking day and is first to the door when Jo pulls up. As a worrier there are very few people I trust to leave Arlo with and can say with confidence that Jo is one of these select few. Jo is a trusted dog walker who loves my dog and walks him with great care. Thank goodness for Fur the Love of Paws and Jo! When we moved to the area, we were so nervous about finding the right dog walker. From the first visit, it was clear that Jo has a love and connection with her dogs and we have never looked back. Since joining the walks, we have noticed a huge improvement in our dog’s control and happiness. We love getting updates and photos/videos from the walks and It is clear that Jo cares for our dog like she is her own.

Jo is a fantastic dogwalker and we regularly think how lucky we were to find her! She clearly adores her dogs, and our pup gets so excited when she arrives. Jo looked after my cat while I was away for work. She asked me lots of questions before I went so she knew exactly what he liked and how he behaved normally. While I was away I received regular updates, including videos and photos, so I knew he was ok. He was able to stay at home and stick to his normal routine so he was a very happy cat and I was a happy owner.

My dog Stan is a nervous dog and I was looking for that someone special for him to bond with and trust outwith the family. I found Jo, who not only fitted the bill but exceeded it. She took the time for Stan to get to know her and the wonderful Harry, her own dog. It took a few weeks but Jo was so patient and then integrated Stan into group walks. I get videos from each walk which is a lovely touch. He is now a much happier dog on our walks and will now try to socialise with other dogs when we are out rather than shy away from them. I work full time and he spends time at my ageing parents who are great but not fun!! He loves Jo and is very excited when she comes to pick him up and I get lots of ‘stories’ from him on a Jo day when I get home from work. Cannot recommend Fur the love of paws enough if you are looking for that extra mile for your pet.

Fur the love of Paws has been a fantastic find for us living in Edinburgh. I have used a few dog walkers in the past but was blown away with Jo. The time and love she has for the dogs in her care is unbelievable and we have never felt more comfortable sending Olive out for a walk. One of the best things is receiving updates on how the walk went and what they got up to as well as a few snaps. Olive always comes back tired and happy from her walks and can’t wait to see Jo the following day for there next adventure. Walks are always somewhere fun and not just street walks. Jo’s genuine love for dogs is clear to see and would highly recommend!

Jo was great with both communication & care. She created a WhatsApp group for us, shared qualifications & created a contract. She updated with tons of pics and videos on our holiday, which was just amazing. Would definitely recommend Jo.

Jo is extremely professional and clearly has a huge love for all the animals in her care. Borris has gone from a timid and somewhat shy puppy to a confident puppy with the help and love he’s received from Jo. Borris loves his visits from Jo and the gang as you can see from his face every time she arrives to collect him.

We always have one very happy/tired out pup after her walks with Jo and updates with photos during the day too. My dog has a knack of covering herself in mud/sand/water everytime she goes outside but Jo does a great job of drying her off before she gets back inside. Really thankful to Jo and all her hard work over the past year. Jo has been looking after Luna since she was about 12 weeks old – she has helped socialise and train her at each stage of her development in line with what we were looking to achieve also. You couldn’t ask for a better person to look after your four legged baby. Jo walked Paige while she was staying with me. She is very conscious and loved and cared for her like she was her own. Would definitely recommend Jo!

Where to begin. Jo is more than fab. She looked after my kitten regularly while I lived in Edinburgh. My kitten is a shy boy and slow to warm to people (even my husband!) but Jo got him out of his shell in the first visit and since then he was always happy to see her and totally at home on her lap getting pets and playing.
Jo clearly has a way of communicating with animals and as a nervous cat mummy she made me feel totally at ease with her looking after my little one.
He actually sadly went missing for a month (home safe now!) and while I was in pieces Jo was there for me and giving me tips on how to look for him and checking in to see if there had been any sign of him. It meant a lot to me, and I’m sure if he could understand it would mean a lot to my cat too!
As a very protective cat owner with the highest standards I can honestly say Jo went above and beyond and I would recommend her with no hesitation. One of my worries moving away from Edinburgh was how I was ever going to find another cat sitter after Jo had set the bar so high!

I would recommend Jo to anyone in the market for dog walking/pet sitting! She is very passionate about what she does and clearly really loves animals. Jo is highly reliable and often goes above and beyond what’s required as part of her job to make sure my dog, Betty, is happy and is developing well. Betty broke her leg when she was a wee puppy and therefore couldn’t be socialised as much as we’d like but Jo has taken this on board and has really helped to get Betty back on track and encourages her to interact with as many dogs as possible. We get daily updates from Jo about what Betty has been up to and we are delighted with the service which Jo provides

We were more than happy to have Fur the love of paws take care of our Meg for two weeks during Christmas and New Year’s time. Our Meg is a rescue cat and has real trouble socialising with new people, but Jo managed to get her out of hiding in just a couple of days, whereas previous sitters never managed to do this! We received photos and videos of Meg during every visit, which made it a lot easier for us during our time away, as we saw Meg being happy and well, taken good care of, fed and played with! It was very obvious that Jo is very skilled in taking care of cats and genuinely enjoys her work! We would thoroughly recommend Fur the love of paws to everyone looking for a cat sitter!

Jo looked after my cats over Christmas. She sent me at least one picture of each cat at every visit, updates on how they were eating (one cat has health problems and medication), and also let me know cute things they were doing – every message from Jo was sunny and lovely, and really let me feel at ease knowing my boys weren’t just being fed, but being cared for too! I even knew from the first visit that she was wonderful. Will definitely book her again!

I used Jo to look after my cat over the Christmas period when my regular sitter was unavailable and I wouldn’t hesitate to use her again or recommend her to anyone. I made my booking quite late and then had to subsequently alter the dates booked due to a change in our plans. Nothing was too much hassle for Jo though and she was very accommodating with the changes I had to make. My cat is also quite a nervous cat but she immediately put me at my ease, understood all my requests and I came home to a happy cat. Thank you Jo!
